Please remember to lock the gate when you are the last Certified Pilot / Club Member leaving the field.

Tell any non-Certified Pilot, or non-club member, that you must lock the gate when you leave, and ask them to head out before you.

If you are leaving -PLEASE- make sure another Certified Pilot will lock the gate when they leave.

When locking the gate: the lock must be placed on the metal bar & the bar feeds through the eyelet hole. This permits county people to unlock the gate with their key.

R/C Flight School

2014 trainers

Flight School scheduled for 10/18/2014 is CANCELLED

The weather is forecast to be beautiful tomorrow, but very windy. Multiple weather sources indicate we will be looking at winds in excess of 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph tomorrow by 10:00 AM.We don’t want to have everyone come to the field at 0-dark-30, just to cease operations an hour or so into the day.

The 10/18 Flight School training day is the last scheduled training event of the 2014 season. We had a very good year; no injuries, most of the aircraft intact, over 90 students, but had to cancel three sessions due to weather.

We executed 237 training days – or an average of 23 students per training day (this is skewed due to IPP and Scout Day, where over 50 Boy Scouts and others participated in introduction flights). We flew approximately 748 sorties, or an average of about 187 flights per airframe.

The DCRC Flight School will resume operations mid-April, 2015.

Attend DCRC Flight School!
