DC-RC Pilot Proficiency Requirements

To use Walt Good Field on a regular basis, a pilot must be a member in good standing of AMA and demonstrate proficiency in the safe operation of model aircraft through successful completion of the DC-RC Pilot Proficiency Test (PPT).

All pilots must complete the PPT using their own aircraft and equipment. PPTs are administered by Designated Pilot Proficiency Test Conductors. Upon successful completion of the PPT, the pilot is issued a Certified Pilot membership card, provided with the gate code for Walt Good Field, and is authorized to fly without supervision as long as membership is kept in good standing.
